Dread Actual Play
Just in time for Halloween comes our actual play of one of my all time favorite horror RPG’s: Dread, by Epidiah Ravachol. Dread uses Jenga for all it’s conflict resolution, which really ramps up the tension. Joining us this session is our good buddy Troll, who’s right fond of horror RPGs.

Nice. Was this the Under a Steel Sky setting, or a custom one? Sort of one part Aliens and one part Metroid. I loved the little “tek tek tek tek tek” all the time- very harrowing. The narration of the guy clawing for the CLOSE button on wrong side of the blast door, and yelling “I love you, Captain!” as it sealed him in- with the aliens and without the arm- was hilaristurbing.
Also, “40 Watt Womb” is going on the Band Name List.
Good job guys. This makes me want to run/play Dread again.
Thanks Dave!
This was a custom setting, but Brandon used the questionnaires from Under a Steel Sky for it. It worked out pretty well!
